What belongs in the book?
Funny pronunciations, first words, family-only phrases, invented words, favorite expressions, and the little memory or translation that makes each one meaningful.
Which edition should I choose?
The Little Edition holds 12 words in one 28-page hardcover. The Full Edition holds 20 words in one 44-page hardcover and includes a downloadable digital copy. The Family Edition holds 20 words in two identical 44-page hardcovers, sent together to one address, and includes the digital copy.
Do you correct the spelling?
No. Your family's spelling is the heart of the book. We keep it exactly as you give it to us unless you ask for a correction when you review the pages.
What languages can I use?
You can choose English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, or Italian. If your family uses another language, contact us before ordering and we will confirm that we can make it beautifully and clearly.
Can I choose the animal and colors?
Yes. Choose a favorite storybook animal and one of six color moods: Heritage Parchment, Blush Rose, Garden Sage, Storybook Blue, Plum Twilight, or Mahogany Hearth.
Can I include photos or recordings?
Photos are not part of the current edition. Voice is optional: in the private personalization form, you can record each word and add a small illustrated listening seal to its page at no extra cost. Anyone holding the book can scan and play it, so include only a voice you have permission to share.
What information should I leave out?
Please use only a first name or nickname. Do not share surnames, full birthdays, home or school addresses, medical details, photos, or contact information. If you choose the voice keepsake, use only the dedicated recording controls in the private form and include only a voice you have permission to share.
Will I see every page before it is printed?
Yes. After you complete the private form, we send you the complete book to review. You can request the included round of changes or give us your final yes. Nothing is printed before you approve it.
How many changes are included?
One round of changes is included. Send all of your notes together so we can make the whole book feel just right. If you would like additional rounds, we will always tell you the price before continuing.
What size is the book?
Every edition is a full-color 11 x 8.5-inch landscape hardcover. The Little Edition has 28 pages. The Full and Family Editions have 44 pages per book.
When will it arrive?
Your estimated arrival window begins after you approve the complete book. Time spent gathering words, reviewing pages, or requesting changes comes before that window. We'll email tracking as soon as your book is on the way.
How much is shipping?
Standard delivery to one U.S. address is included. Express delivery may be offered for an additional charge at checkout. International delivery is not available yet, and any taxes are shown before you place the order.
Can I send one directly as a gift?
Yes. Send it to the recipient's U.S. address at checkout. If the book is about someone else's child, please make sure you have the parent or guardian's permission to share the words and memories.
Can I order two copies?
Yes. The Family Edition includes two identical books that travel together to one address. For two different children or two different designs, place a separate order for each book.
Is this meant for children?
It is a family keepsake made for grown-ups to preserve, read, and share with the children they love.
