Effective date: July 19, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the website at theirlittlelanguage.com, related personalization and proofing experiences, and purchases from Their Little Language. The seller and website operator is AiFi systems LLC, operating the brand Their Little Language (“Their Little Language,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the site, submitting personalization information, approving a proof, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and the policies incorporated below.
1. Eligibility and adult responsibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract. The site, checkout, intake, and proof process are directed to adults, not children. If personalization information relates to a child, you represent that you are the child’s parent or legal guardian or have the parent or legal guardian’s permission to submit and use it for the order. Do not ask a child to use the site or submit information directly.
2. The product and editions
Their Little Language creates a personalized square hardcover keepsake, approximately 8.3 × 8.3 inches with 24 full-color pages. The Little Edition includes up to 12 entries and one hardcover; the Full Edition includes up to 20 entries, one hardcover, and a personal-use digital PDF; the Family Edition includes up to 20 entries, a personal-use digital PDF, and two identical hardcovers shipped to one address. The product page at purchase controls if an edition is updated.
Images and screen previews are illustrative. Paper, color, crop, binding, placement, and screen-to-print appearance can vary within reasonable manufacturing tolerances. The book is a keepsake for adult management. It is not a toy, educational curriculum, speech-development tool, diagnostic service, or medical product.
3. Orders, acceptance, prices, and payment
An order is an offer to purchase. Automated acknowledgments confirm receipt, not acceptance. We may accept by beginning personalization work, confirming the order, or otherwise communicating acceptance. We may decline or cancel before production for availability, pricing or technical error, suspected fraud, prohibited content, legal restriction, or inability to fulfill. If we cancel, we will provide any refund required by law and the Refund Policy.
Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout and may change before purchase. Shipping, tax, duty, and other charges are shown or described at checkout where applicable. Shopify and third-party payment providers process payment on behalf of AiFi systems LLC. We do not receive or store the complete payment-card number. Your statement may show AiFi systems LLC, Their Little Language, or the descriptor configured with the payment provider.
4. Personalization information and prohibited submissions
The launch product is text-based. You may submit the child’s first name or nickname, words or phrases, adult-provided meanings, a short memory, an optional approximate age or season, a dedication, and design preferences. Do not submit surnames, exact birth dates, home or school addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, account credentials, government identifiers, medical or developmental information, photographs, audio, video, or information about another person that you are not authorized to provide.
Do not submit unlawful, threatening, hateful, exploitative, defamatory, obscene, infringing, privacy-invasive, or otherwise harmful material. We may ask for edits or refuse prohibited content. You remain responsible for the accuracy, legality, and rights associated with your submissions.
5. Permission to create and fulfill your order
You retain any rights you have in content you submit. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to receive, translate where purchased, edit, lay out, proof, reproduce, transmit, manufacture, deliver, support, secure, and legally document the order. This license permits disclosure to employees, contractors, Shopify, Prodigi, production partners, carriers, and carefully selected technology providers only as reasonably necessary for these purposes. It ends when the applicable retention period ends, except for lawful records, restricted backups, dispute evidence, and rights that must survive to complete the order.
We do not receive a marketing right to a child’s personalization content through these Terms. Public display, testimonial use, portfolio use, or social-media use requires a separate, specific, optional permission from the adult with authority to grant it.
6. AI-assisted and human-reviewed work
We may use AI-assisted or automated tools for limited drafting, translation, quality review, layout, or production support. Personalized output is reviewed in our process and the adult purchaser receives the final proof for approval. AI output can contain errors; the proof is the controlling opportunity to correct them. We do not authorize personalization content to be used by providers to train general-purpose models or for unrelated advertising. Our Privacy Policy and Personalization & Privacy page explain the applicable safeguards.
7. Proofs, included revision, and approval
Each edition includes a proof and one consolidated revision round. Send all requested corrections together. Additional rounds, redesigns, late changes, or corrections outside the purchased scope may require a fee disclosed and accepted before work begins. Delivery estimates pause while we await intake, feedback, approval, payment of an agreed fee, or address confirmation. We do not release the book to production without final approval.
Approval confirms the entire proof and delivery address and authorizes immediate manufacture. After approval, changes or cancellation are not guaranteed and the final-sale rules in the Refund Policy apply. If you stop responding, we may place the project on hold and later archive inactive working files after reasonable reminders. We will not manufacture an unapproved version. Contact us to determine whether and how the project can be resumed.
8. Fulfillment, delivery, returns, and delays
The Shipping & Production Policy and Refund, Return & Cancellation Policy are incorporated into these Terms. Prodigi and its distributed fulfillment partners manufacture and route the physical product, and independent carriers deliver it. Product and route availability can change. We remain responsible to you to the extent required by applicable consumer law.
9. Digital PDF license
If your edition includes a PDF, we grant the adult purchaser a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal, household, non-commercial viewing and archival use. You may make a reasonable personal backup. You may not resell, publicly post, publish, distribute, sublicense, remove notices from, or use the PDF or its design as a template for commercial products. This restriction does not transfer ownership of content you submitted.
10. Our intellectual property
The site, brand names, logos, templates, layouts, typography systems, illustrations, product framework, copy, software, and other pre-existing materials are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by applicable law. Except for the limited personal-use license expressly granted, no right is transferred. You may not copy, scrape, reverse engineer, republish, or exploit them without written permission, except as law permits.
11. Website use
You may not interfere with site security or operation, introduce malware, use automated systems in a manner that burdens the service, attempt unauthorized access, impersonate another person, submit fraudulent orders, or use the service in violation of law. We may limit or suspend access to protect customers, the service, or legal compliance.
12. Privacy and electronic communications
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Transactional emails about intake, proofs, production, delivery, security, and support are part of the service. Marketing communications are optional and may be unsubscribed from at any time, although transactional messages will continue while necessary for an order.
13. Third-party services and links
The service depends on third parties including Shopify, payment providers, Prodigi, production facilities, carriers, hosting, email, security, and carefully configured design or AI tools. Their own terms and privacy practices may apply to their direct services. We are not responsible for unrelated third-party websites merely because we link to them, but this does not limit responsibility that applicable law places on us for our suppliers or fulfillment of your order.
14. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the website and non-purchased informational content are provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free automated output, a particular developmental or emotional outcome, or exact screen-to-print color matching. Any warranty exclusion applies only where legally permitted and does not exclude express promises or mandatory consumer guarantees.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AiFi systems LLC and its officers, members, employees, and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential loss arising from the service. Our aggregate liability relating to a particular order will not exceed the amount paid for that order. These limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, unlawful handling of personal information, or any liability or remedy that cannot legally be limited.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except that mandatory consumer protections of your place of residence remain available. Where legally permitted, disputes may be brought in state or federal courts with jurisdiction over AiFi systems LLC; nothing here prevents a consumer from using a local court, small-claims process, regulator, or alternative process where mandatory law allows it. Before filing a claim, we encourage you to contact hello@theirlittlelanguage.com so we can try to resolve it.
17. General terms
If part of these Terms is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum necessary and the remainder will continue. A delay in enforcement is not a waiver. We may assign these Terms in connection with a reorganization, financing, sale, or transfer of the business, subject to law. You may not assign an order without our consent. These Terms, the order confirmation, proof approval, and incorporated policies form the agreement for the order.
18. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms prospectively by posting a revised date. The version accepted for an existing order continues to govern that order unless a change is required by law or agreed with you. Contact AiFi systems LLC / Their Little Language at hello@theirlittlelanguage.com or at our registered office: 8 The Green, Suite B, Dover, Delaware 19901, United States. The registered office is not a product return address.
